#FlyerFriday: Tom Hernandez ’88

Tom Hernandez ’88 graduated with a degree in journalism and communications, which has served him well throughout his career. His days of creating a newspaper for his elementary school to his experience as a journalist and columnist have prepared him for one of his most memorable experiences yet – writing and publishing books. “I have always written poetry,” explains Tom. “I’ve always been a performer, actor, and musician, whenever I can find the time. I really enjoy the fine arts. After years of family and friends encouraging me to write a book, I finally made the leap.” He has now published two books and is working on a third.

National Librarian Day

Today is National Librarian Day!
Did you know alumni have library services available? You can check with the Library for services including:

Circulation Services - Lewis alumni may borrow print books and materials from the Lewis Library general collection; borrowing privileges do not extend to borrowing from I-Share libraries. Alumni may obtain a library card from the Circulation Desk. Alumni must present a photo ID and proof of graduation.

Be safe! Protect your password and email

Lately, we've received a lot of emails from alumni containing spam links.

For today's blog, here's a PSA to remind everyone that it’s always good to:

Change your password every so often. Strong passwords include numbers, letters and symbols. 

Use different passwords for the websites you access. Don't use the same password for your email, online banking and the Lewis Connect alumni community.

Never click suspicious links. A neat quiz for you to test your spam link skill is at (if you are now questioning whether or not to click it, that is already the first step!)
