This week’s highlights: Dec. 4-10, 2013

Did everyone have a happy Thanksgiving? Hope you received our greetings in your inbox. (If not, we may not have your current email address, so please email us at

There’s a sigh of relief since we survived Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. We also celebrated a newer holiday – Giving Tuesday. It’s a chance after those retail shopping days to instead turn our attention to those charities and causes we support. Consider making a donation to support students at Lewis University. As you may already be aware, more than 85% of freshmen receive some sort of financial aid – which includes grants and scholarships. Your support helps so many of our students, and we are truly grateful. Give thanks to faculty through the Gratitude Project.

Here’s what we’re looking forward to this week:
  • Dec. 5 – Senior Capstone Show and Reception. 7:00-9:00 pm. Oremus Art Center. Free.
  • Dec. 5-7 – 9th Annual Holiday Spectacular. Philip Lynch Theatre.
  • Dec. 8 – Cookies with Santa. University Dining Room. Sorry, registration is closed!
  • Dec. 9 – Lunch and Learn. “A Discussion About Leading Change: What Today’s Leaders Can Do To Be Successful.” Join us to discuss the role that leaders play in successful change initiatives, how the skills and behaviors needed by today’s leaders can take us to the next level and why now is the time to master these skills. Oak Brook Campus. Noon-1:00 pm. Lunch is included; please RSVP at
